A little birdie just informed there is a secret event for (likely) Norse, I GOT WHAT I WANTED! And yes it's an event with a hella high MTTH, so Norse haters stop crying. Your king/leader etc. needs to Sinner/Scholar in the first place, also a 5/5/5. And apparently the MTTH is 100 years.

Tbh a single Norse province in Greenland wouldnt be too immersion breaking as it would get converted when you finished colonising it anyway. You‘d have to spawn religious rebels before it colonised to actually flip norse

provinces in america flip as soon as your colonist arrives, so there is no way to get religious rebels if such a province would exist

I thought it was just provinces in colonial regions that flipped like that.
I know Bermuda isn’t in a colonial region, and I thought Greenland is the same. So perhaps in might be possible. But this just a fairytale wish list.

Provinces in colonial regions flip on colonist arrival. Colonies in trade regions flip on completion, and only if there are less than 1000 natives, or a direct land connection to your capital exists.

Greenland is indeed not in a colonial region. But it is in North America and this is what seems to matter.

The flipping upon completion only applies to a few versions(IIRC most 1.31 patches) and AFAIK the number of natives didn't matter for that(but it mattered if there was a colonist or not). Have a look at the wiki for the current rules:

TBH, it would be cool if you had a ruler named Ragnar with the tolerant trait, it would create a chain of events where Norse could be revived in a random province if you own York, Dalaskogen, Stockholm, Sjaelland and Neva.

There is. Here's How:
Be Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Icelandic, or Norse as primary culture and either A. Have Statute in Restraint of Appeals or B. have a 5/5/5 Sinner or Scholar and you have a 100 Year MTTH for Norse. Having Religious Ideas or Being excommunicated lowers it to a 50 year MTTH.
Edit: It also looks like Animist rebels can also religion flip provinces in Scandinavia

Which is a real shame considering that there's currently no Animist province at the Start Date in the Scandinavia region, despite it makes sense for those of Sapmi culture.

Any idea on how to spawn those rebels? Something with colonizing pagan provinces maybe?

Start as Gotland and just take the day 1 decision to be a republic. Re-elect until 5/5/5.

Event logs give you three routes to Norse.
1. An event chain that needs to be triggered by either Declaring Statue in Restrain of Appeals as a Catholic and waiting for the event to fire within 100 years.
2. The same event chain can also be fired by having a 5/5/5 Ruler that also has either Sinner or Scholar trait.
or 3. By having Animist rebels in a Scandinavian province convert it.
Important! It looks based on Event logs that they won't fire for a custom nation, and AI is forbidden from taking the decision.

There's an event written where if Norway successfully rediscovers their lost colony on Greenland via their mission tree, then there is a 1% chance that they will be Norse instead of Catholic (flavor_nor.34), but it's commented out so it can't fire normally. But it should be an easy reversion if you want (flavor_nor.33 is the managing event). Even has different options for if you're Norse already or not.
