I can’t begin to express how impressed I was to work with Happy Tail Companions, JoAnne and Daryl. They are a family full of love and affection for their own Havanese dogs as well as pups they breed. It was obvious they are very intent to make sure their pups get the best treatment from birth to their furever homes.I made several trips over to see our puppy before taking him home in April of 2019. Almost a year ago, our family decided to get a puppy. We decided on a Havanese because we all have asthma/allergies and we knew we all did well with this breed. It was the best decision ever! This breed is amazing with kids, affectionate, smart, and so much fun. While searching for a breeder, I came upon Happy Tail Companions (Joanne) who at that time was only 45 minutes from us here in Colorado. From the very beginning I loved Joanne-she was a great communicator, and you could tell she truly loves and cares immensely for her dogs. She kept us updated on the waitlist, and sent us pictures of our new family member. Moose is almost a year now, and he is in perfect health, has the best personality, and is loved more than anyone could imagine. When I decided I was ready to have another dog, I did my research on the best dogs for condo living, smartest, and easiest to train, and I decided I wanted a Havanese. Then the search began! I found Happy Tails Companions at a website I cannot remember now, but they had the ACK health rating Excellent, and their reviews online were wonderful, so I reached out. I spoke with Joanne, and she explained the process to get one of her Havanese. The paperwork and contract was pretty straightforward, and I was able to pay via Google pay. I could not be happier with my Havanese, Harper, nor could I be happier with Happy Tails Companions. I highly recommend them to anyone wanting a healthy, happy Havanese, as they provided the kind of home for Harper in her first 8 weeks that I would have provided for her. We came across Joanne and Happy Tail Companions through Good Dog. I sent her a message through the website and she immediately responded about my inquiry. At the time, she was expecting two Havanese litters. We have been looking for a while, researching the breed and trying to find a reputable breeder. I had a list of questions I wanted to go over with Joanne which she answered with no problems. She had questions for me as well. She clearly cares about who her puppies will go home too. Throughout the process, she was always available to answer any questions I had as well as letting us know how our Bruno was doing. We knew we picked the right breeder because she knows the breed, she makes sure her puppies are well socialized before they go to their forever home and really loves her dogs. We knew that Bruno would be well socialized, we knew that he was going to get a great start and we were happy that he was coming from a loving home. Bruno has adjusted very well to his new home. He is a very happy and sweet puppy, full of energy, always interested in what you are doing, knows when he is being mischievous but acts like what he is doing is normal which just makes us laugh. He just fits. He is part of the family. If you are considering a Havanese or just want to inquire about the breed, I highly recommend contacting Happy Tail Companions. When you are looking for a breeder, it is not an easy process, you may be unsure of the process, you might have some other doubts, or you might think you are not asking all the needed questions. We went through all that stuff, but after contacting Joanne and speaking with her a few times, we knew we were on the right path. Thank you for our little Kuba Bear. We love him SO much. He was a great addition to our family. Happy Tails companions does a wonderful job raising puppies until they are ready to meet their new families. I was SO impressed with the training Kuba had when we first got him. You provided a pee pad and as soon as we brought him home, we put down the pad and let him loose in our house and went right to the pad and went pee. We now see why you’re company is called Happy Tails. Kuba is always happy and his tail is always going. So his nik name is Mr. happy tail.
